Series Description

Now in its fifth year, Factory Friday is a special opportunity for manufacturers to explain what they do and make the case for why manufacturing is important to the past, present, and future of the city.  In return, manufacturers have the opportunity to gain broad exposure, to directly share their work with the public, and to grant rare access to New Yorkers to show what 21st-century urban manufacturing spaces look like.

The Factory Friday series will take place all day on Friday, October 21, and spotlight a diverse array of makers and manufacturers while giving hundreds of New Yorkers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at local production.

This series is presented in partnership with Made in NYC, a nonprofit initiative out of the Pratt Institute that supports local manufacturers and makers in New York City through free skills-building programs, marketing and promotional platforms, and small business resources.

Note: The full 2022 OHNY Weekend lineup, including the Factory Friday series, will be released to the public on October 6. Want a sneak peek? Become an OHNY member today and preview the lineup on September 29.
