The mission of East New York Farms! is to organize youth and adults to address food justice in our community by promoting local sustainable agriculture and community-led economic development. East New York Farms! is a project of the United Community Centers in partnership with local residents. We have been working with youth, gardeners, farmers, and entrepreneurs to build a more just and sustainable community since 1998. Our farm site features fresh and organic produce, fruit trees, and flowers all started from seed on site. We also oversee a community composting system and work with young people from the neighborhood to steward our site. Outside the farm, we host our weekly Saturday Farmers Market which is the largest youth-led market in the country. Learn about about the history of gardens and redlining in Brooklyn and see an urban farm in real life, including our five friendly farm cats! **Family Programming**: Farm tours are open to families and kids of all ages with adult supervision. Our Farmers Market also features free books for kids and adults of all ages, arts and crafts, and playset activities. We also have free cooking demonstrations all day open to all ages.  **Saturday Tours**: 11am, 12pm & 1pm See an urban farm in action on a tour led by Assistant Project Director Sol Bacio.
