Open House New York Weekend (October 18-20, 2024) is a five-borough festival celebrating design, culture, and civic investment. With more than 250 destinations to explore over three days, the festival reveals why the city looks, feels, and functions the way it does.

October 1: Public Reveal
The OHNY Weekend lineup is now live! Find information about locations, activities, dates, and times on Plan Your Weekend.
October 8 at 11am ET: Ticket Release
Select OHNY Weekend sites and tours require tickets due to space or security reasons. Tickets are $6, available first-come, first-serve, and will be released for everyone at the same time on Tuesday, October 8 at 11am ET. Tickets for select sites are free. NOTE: There is no lottery this year. Please see below for more information regarding Ticketed sites.
October 17: Launch Party
Celebrate the official kick-off to the 2024 Open House New York Weekend at United Palace with food, drinks, and entertainment. Tickets start at $100. All proceeds help support OHNY Weekend.
October 18: Opening Night
Join us on the Friday night of OHNY Weekend for a free opening night celebration at the Dumbo Archway Plaza—NYC’s newest AND oldest plaza space!
October 18-20: OHNY Weekend
More than 250 sites across all five boroughs—from historic homes to new buildings shaping the skyline—will be open to visit for tours, activities, and exploration!
How do I get OHNY Weekend Tickets?
Most festival locations, including returning favorites like Powerhouse Arts, the Manhattan Borough President’s Map Display, and Sunset Park Material Recovery Facility, are Open Access and invite visitors to drop in without tickets during open hours. Embrace spontaneity, endure the occasional line (unless you have a Weekend passport!), and go explore.
Select festival locations are Ticketed for capacity or security reasons, and access is provided at specific times for a limited number of visitors. Securing OHNY Weekend tickets can be a competitive and frustrating process, as demand overwhelms supply. Tickets will be released on Tuesday, October 8 at 11 am ET. Q: Do I need tickets for OHNY Weekend?
Most OHNY Weekend festival locations are Open Access and invite visitors to drop in without tickets during open hours. Select festival locations are Ticketed for capacity or security reasons, and access is provided at specific times for a limited number of visitors. Ticketing opens on October 8 at 11 am and is available first-come, first-served. Securing OHNY Weekend tickets can be a competitive and frustrating process, as demand overwhelms supply—and tickets tend to get snapped up quickly.
Q: When and where can I get tickets?
Tickets will go on sale October 8 at 11 am ET. Ticketing is first come, first served; there is no lottery. We know securing OHNY Weekend tickets can be a competitive and frustrating process. More than 8,000 tickets are available this year, and we anticipate 80% will get snapped up in minutes.
Each tour session has its own ticketing page on Eventbrite. Tickets cannot be purchased via email or over the phone. There are three ways you can find links to each ticketing page:
- Go to the Plan Your Weekend page on our website and click on the location page you are looking for. Look for “Dates & Times” beneath the featured image. The black “Tickets” button will take you to the corresponding ticketing page on Eventbrite.
- Skip our website and go directly to our Eventbrite Organizer page.
- Save this page to see the list of all ticketed locations and their Eventbrite links.
Q: How much are tickets and how many can I purchase?
The ticket fee is $6 for most sites (select sites are free). Up to two tickets can be purchased at a time. Everyone, including children, needs tickets, but note that not all locations allow children. Check a location’s age restrictions under Access Notes and Accessibility on its listing.
Q: I have a ticket. Where is the meeting location?
When you purchase a ticket on Eventbrite, you will receive an email confirmation with full event details. The email is sent from Eventbrite ([email protected]), and the subject line begins with “Order Confirmation for.” The meeting location and other important access information will be towards the bottom under “Additional Information.” If you did not receive a confirmation email, please contact [email protected] with the tour name in the subject line of your email.
Q: Is there a waitlist for Ticketed tours? Do you take walk-ins?
No. There are no waitlists, and walk-ins are not accepted. For many of our Ticketed sites, this is a space or security issue. Admission is by guest list only.
Q: What if I don’t get any Tickets?

Q. Are children permitted at OHNY Weekend sites?
A. Most OHNY Weekend sites are open to visitors of all ages. Some sites offer special activities aimed at children and their families, and these are designated as Family-Friendly sites. However, certain locations have age minimums for safety reasons. Where this is the case, it is noted in the site’s listing under the “Access Notes” section.
Please note that at locations that require tickets, every person attending, including children, must have a ticket to attend.
Q. Is photography or recording permitted at OHNY Weekend sites?
A. In general, yes! A few sites do have restrictions on photography once inside. This is noted in the “Access Notes” section of each site’s Weekend listing. Please check with site host staff if you are unsure of the photography rules or plan to record for any purpose other than personal use.
Q. What happens in inclement weather?
A. OHNY Weekend takes place rain or shine. In the event that the Partner leading an outdoor tour or event decides to cancel due to weather conditions (or for any other reason), OHNY will post a notice on our website and notify ticketholders if applicable.
Q. Where can I see the list of sites and tours for this year?
A. The full list of sites and tours for the 2024 Open House New York Weekend–with dates, times, and descriptions–is available on the Plan Your Weekend page of our website here. Most places in the festival are Open Access, meaning you can drop in without tickets.
Q: Do I need to be an OHNY member to participate in OHNY Weekend?
A. No. OHNY Weekend is free and open to the general public – you do not need a membership to participate. OHNY Members receive a number of year-round benefits, including complimentary or discounted tickets to public programs and invitations to members-only events.
OHNY Weekend Passports allow you and a guest expedited access to all sites that do not require tickets. Passport holders also get exclusive access to curated itineraries to help you save time, see more, and maximize your experience! Plus, this fully tax-deductible donation supports OHNY Weekend.
A limited number of Passports are available for $150 each and can be purchased online. If you would like your Passport to be mailed to you, be sure to purchase by October 6.
