"Vibrant Matter" is an art exhibition by Yoko Shimizu, a Japanese bio-artist and researcher. This is her first major solo exhibition in the United States and is informed by over a decade's worth of Shimizu's scientific research exploring the intersection of biological systems and emergent technology.

BioBAT Art Space is a gallery dedicated to the intersection of arts, science, and technology. It is located in the biotech incubator, BioBAT Inc., which connects the communities of Brooklyn, New York, with a 21st-century working waterfront at the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal.

The building is located in the Brooklyn Army Terminal, which is a very large campus, so people who come on foot should be prepared to do quite a bit of walking. There is parking lot access directly in front of the gallery.
