Louise Harpman is a Professor of Architecture, Urban Design, and Sustainability at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, an Associated Faculty member at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and a Faculty Adviser to NYU’s Marron Institute of Urban Management. Her design practice is Louise Harpman__PROJECTS, whose current work focuses on net-zero energy buildings and micro-housing. Before PROJECTS, Louise was, for twenty years, a principal in the award-winning architecture and design firm Specht Harpman, which was named “Emerging Voices” by the Architectural League of New York, and listed among the “top 50 emerging architectural practices” listed in Wallpaper* magazine. Recently, she was named inaugural Curator and Director of the NYCxDESIGN Architecture Graduates Showcase.
