This tour is now sold out, but members can join the waitlist to be notified if a ticket becomes available.

Open House New York Members are invited to preview two new art galleries in West Chelsea designed by studioMDA.

Kasmin Gallery is a new purpose-built gallery building that acts as a Kunsthalle for displaying and viewing art with maximum flexibility and daylight. The angled façade takes its form from the 28 trapezoidal skylights of the main exhibition space that provide an abundance of diffused natural light, and the large glass storefront opens the gallery to pedestrians. A landscaped roof creates a unique sculpture garden visible to High Line visitors.

Built directly under the High Line, High Line Nine reinterprets the 19th century European arcade, with a central corridor running from 27th to 28th Street serving as the main artery for nine full service boutique exhibition spaces. Large glass windows along the corridor act as gallery vitrines and exposed High Line columns give the space an industrial feel that responds to the neighborhood.
