OHNY members are invited to a presentation of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill’s master plan for Cornell Tech , a new applied science university in Roosevelt Island. Designed to encourage interaction and creativity, SOM’s plan creates a boundary-free campus with learning venues that feature open interiors and amenities such as cafes and exhibition spaces. The first phase, which will be completed in 2017, includes the construction of New York City’s largest net-zero energy building.
