Before the 1960s, almost everything about living openly as a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ+) person was illegal. The Stonewall Uprising on June 28, 1969, was a milestone in the quest for LGBTQ+ civil rights and provided momentum for a movement. Visitors will join rangers to walk the historic streets of Greenwich Village and explore the history and legacy of the Stonewall riots.

The tour will be outdoors in the elements. We will change locations but start and end at the same place. Please note: No public restrooms or drinking water are available.
