Getting to Work

Visit a diverse array of small and mid-sized businesses, organized with support from TD Bank, for a peek at how local entrepreneurs drive economic development in the world’s most ambitious city.

A group of people observe a man holding a large, weathered Shoe Repairing sign indoors.

If we’re known for nothing else, New Yorkers are famous for our hustle. The city is a magnet for movers, shakers, doers, and dreamers from all over the world. It’s also home to storied local businesses that have served their communities for generations. From the Garment District to the Brooklyn Navy Yard, small and mid-sized businesses make up a thriving and dynamic sector of the city’s economy, contributing to neighborhood character while staying focused on the bottom line.

Thanks to support from TD Bank, during this year’s OHNY Weekend you can visit dozens of different local businesses to learn about what they do, how they do it—and why they choose to do it here.
