Sara Lopergolo
Founder, Lopergolo Bartling Architects
Sara Lopergolo is a Founder of Lopergolo Bartling Architects, based in New York City and Catskills, NY. Sara Lopergolo is a licensed architect with three decades of experience. Lopergolo recently completed her tenure at Selldorf Architect where she was a Partner for 29 years. She has worked on major projects including large-scale new construction and cultural facilities.
Ms. Lopergolo was Partner-in-Charge for the expansion and enhancement of The Frick Collection in New York City. She has significant experience with ground-up construction having served as Partner-in-Charge on large-scale projects such as the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Luma Arles, the Sunset Park Material Recovery Facility in Brooklyn, Swiss Institute and 200 Eleventh Avenue, a 19-story residential condominium as well as numerous private residential projects. Ms. Lopergolo has significant experience in gallery design, having completed galleries for David Zwirner, Hauser & Wirth and Barbara Gladstone, as well as numerous exhibition designs for Corning Museum of Glass among others. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, and has studied and worked in England, Italy, and Japan.

She is currently Chair of Open House New York and President of the Advisory Board of Syracuse University School of Architecture. She is a visiting Professor at Pratt Graduate Architecture and Urban Design School.
