Open House New York volunteers and community members are invited to attend a meetup cheering on the Hunts Point Fish Parade!
The Fish Parade is a 23-year tradition and community-led parade and arts festival celebrating the culture, resilience, and environmental activism of Hunts Point in the South Bronx. Participants carry banners, costumes, and puppets representing marine life as the parade winds from THE POINT Community Development Corporation through the neighborhood, ending with an Arts Festival at Hunts Point Riverside Park featuring live performances, food, art workshops, and activities for all ages. Join us in the park at the parade's end point throughout the afternoon to watch the festivities, connect with fellow city-lovers, and learn more about this year’s OHNY Weekend, October 16–18.
Interested in volunteering? Share your love of the city and volunteer with Open House New York! Help provide access to buildings and experiences across the city, celebrate curiosity, encourage a deeper understanding of how the city works, and explore new neighborhoods, projects, and ideas with us. Join our volunteer community. OHNY Weekend volunteer registration will open in mid-August.
