Open Council members are invited to take a full vertical journey through the Studio Museum’s first purpose-built home in its nearly six-decade history. The seven-story, 82,000-square-foot building begins at the reverse stoop at street level, a stepped public threshold that descends into the museum, and continues up through the collage of stacked gallery volumes above.
The tour, led by Pascale Sablan, CEO, New York Studio at Adjaye Associates, and Erin Flynn, Principal at Corgan, will illuminate how the firms collaborated to build a world-class institution and cultural landmark for 125th Street.
