Open House New York is pleased to announce that it has elected a new slate of officers to its Board of Directors, including Sara Lopergolo, Partner at Selldorf Architects, as president. She succeeds Rob Rogers, who served as president since 2018 and who will continue to serve as a member of the board. Lopergolo is joined on OHNY’s leadership team by board vice president Saundra Thomas (Principal, SPT Consults); secretary Adam Rolston (Partner, INC Architecture & Design); and continuing treasurer Amy Gilfenbaum (Former Managing Director of Operational Risk, Neuberger Berman).

Sara Lopergolo is a Partner at Selldorf Architects and has been with the firm for over 20 years. Ms. Lopergolo is currently Partner-in-Charge for the expansion and enhancement of the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and The Frick Collection. She served as Partner-in-Charge on the Sunset Park Material Recovery Facility as well as galleries for David Zwirner and Hauser & Wirth, among others. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. She also sits on the Advisory Board of Syracuse University School of Architecture. She is an active member of the AIA Women in Architecture committee, mentoring and speaking frequently at events around the country.

Saundra Thomas is Principal of SPT Consults and lends her expertise on strategic planning, team building and board development to nonprofits. Most recently, she was Vice-President of Community Affairs at WABC-TV, where she led the strategic vision for community outreach, station visibility, and philanthropy while working with 200+ nonprofits in the tristate. Thomas has made community service the center of her life and was a candidate for New York City Council in 2013. In addition to OHNY, Saundra is a board member of Indigo Arts Alliance, Prospect Park Alliance, The Peace Studio, and Chair Emeritus of both Council for Unity and Dancewave. She has served on the advisory boards of Services for the Underserved and the Women’s Leadership Network at St. Francis College(Brooklyn)where she received an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters. Saundra holds a B.A. in Journalism from Rutgers University and an M.A. in Media Studies from The New School. She is a proud and enthusiastic resident of Brooklyn, where she lives with her family.

Adam Rolston is a Partner at INC Architecture & Design. Adam has been engaged in the practice of architecture since 1985, was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended Syracuse University School of Architecture, where he studied both in Syracuse and in Italy under the influence of the northern Italian Rationalists. Adam has served as the Senior Designer and Project Architect for many large-scale, commercial office, residential condominium, private residential, hospitality, and retail projects in Southeast Asia, Europe, and New York. He is known for his keen attention to detail, his ability to tackle the design and planning of complex projects at a variety of scales and for his careful attention to client and user needs. Adam is a registered architect in the State of New York, a member of the AIA New York chapter and the USGBC.

Amy Gilfenbaum recently retired as Managing Director, Operational Risk of Neuberger Berman. Prior to this role, Amy was Internal Audit Director at Lehman Brothers and was responsible for establishing the internal audit function at Neuberger Berman after it went public in 1999. In addition, Amy was Assistant Treasurer at Lehman Brothers for over 10 years, where she was responsible for the liability and liquidity management functions for the U.S. holding company and broker-dealer unit. She received her BA from Wellesley College and MBA from New York University – Stern School of Business, with a concentration in Accounting. She was awarded her CPA in 1985 and gained her audit experience at Coopers & Lybrand.
