Style Guide and Reference Information

Open House New York Weekend is a five-borough festival celebrating design, culture, and civic investment. With more than 250 destinations to explore over three days, the festival helps participants understand why the city looks, feels, and functions the way it does. Thank you for partnering with us on the 22nd annual festival, occurring throughout New York on October 18-20, 2024!

In preparing your marketing materials, please keep the following style guidelines in mind:

Name

  • The organization name should always be written as “Open House New York” or “OHNY”. Do NOT use other variations like Open House NY, Open House, etc.
  • The weekend-long festival should be referred to as “Open House New York Weekend” or “OHNY Weekend” or “the Open House New York Weekend festival” or “the OHNY Weekend festival”. The word “Weekend” is capitalized; the word “festival” is not.

Logo

  • The logo for OHNY Weekend should always be two colors. If you are preparing material in black & white, please use the logo with contrasting fill and outline.
  • Partners are welcome to combine and remix the logo with their own photography and visual assets.

Colors

  • The primary colors of this year’s logo and other festival assets are black and yellow. Specs for the yellow are #fdda26 (HEX); 253,218,38 (RGB); and 0,14,85,1 (CMYK).

Plus

  • This year’s festival features “destinations”—also called “sites” or “places” or “locations”—feel free to use the term that works best for you!
  • To expand reach and facilitate reposting, please tag Open House New York in your posts. Our handle is @openhousenewyork on Instagram and Facebook. Our handle is @ohny on Twitter/X.

*Most festival locations are Open Access, free, and can be visited without tickets. Select locations are ticketed for space and security reasons.

This is a fundraiser for OHNY Weekend. Tickets begin at $100. All festival partners will be invited to a special thank you event after the festival. Stay tuned for details.
