The New York Studio School was founded in the 1960s by artists for artists and is located in a National Historic Landmark in Greenwich Village that served as the original home of the Whitney Museum of American Art.  Small-group guided tours are available on Friday, October 18. On Saturday, October 19 and Sunday October 20, visitors are welcome to visit the School’s public spaces in the lobby that include architectural details from the Whitney Museum of American Art, including original light fixtures, terrazzo floors, aluminum decorative elements, and a reproduction of the original wallpaper lining the main staircase. We invite all visitors to enjoy the exhibition on view in our main gallery, “Twilight: 21 Works by James Howell” curated by Silvia Benedetti. The show explores Howell’s obsession with the infinite nuances of gray. **Friday Tours**: 12, 1, 2, 3, & 4pm Small-group guided tours are available on the hour, on a first-come, first-served basis.
