From 1801–1966, the Brooklyn Navy Yard served as one of the nation’s premier naval shipyards. Today, the site is owned by the City of New York and operated as a not-for-profit industrial park dedicated to supporting urban manufacturing. The Yard is currently home to 450+ businesses that employ 10,000+ people.

Open House New York Weekend offers unparalleled access to the Yard for one day only each year. Over 50 artists and manufacturers will open their doors giving visitors an introduction to the site as a continuing hub of industry, innovation, and culture.
