I’ve been an Open House New York since

I’ve been an Open House New Yorker since 2015.

What’s your favorite OHNY memory?

My favorite memory was the Spring Benefit at the TWA Hotel in 2019. Not only did the new hotel amaze me, the OHNY programming was spectacular, especially the dancers who performed in the hotel lobby!

I’m an Open House New Yorker because…

I am passionate about helping New Yorkers gain access to historic sites, new constructions and green spaces.

What do you love about OHNY Weekend?

One of the things I love about OHNY Weekend is the amazing people I met volunteering, we all come from very different backgrounds and unite over our shared love of New York City!

What’s a hidden gem you’ve found through OHNY?

A hidden gem I found through OHNY is Bronx Community College—an architecturally elaborate campus and the former location of NYU.

Do you have any tips you’d like to share with prospective volunteers?

My advice is clear your schedule and dedicate the entire weekend to OHNY. Spend half the weekend volunteering and the other half exploring; see as much as you can see, these memories will last for a lifetime!
