Architect and contractor Adam Kushner has spent nine years meticulously crafting the perfect home for his family in a West Village townhouse. The hundred-year-old building has been completely transformed with unique modern features and nods to the building’s colorful history and surrounding neighborhood. More than just a residence, it’s a love letter to New York City.

OHNY Metropolitan members visited Adam’s home for a tour and Q&A on March 28 and had the rare chance to hear about the highs and lows of the design and construction process from the architect’s and resident’s perspective and experience this singular project from climbing wall to loft to kitchen.
