About The Woolworth Building

Once hailed as the “Cathedral of Commerce,” the Woolworth Building has long stood as a symbol of architectural ambition and historic grandeur in Lower Manhattan. Today, this iconic skyscraper is undergoing a bold transformation—evolving from a landmark of the past into a vertical campus for the future.

Cammeby’s, in partnership with Witkoff, is reimagining the Woolworth Building as a dynamic cultural and commercial hub where arts, design, innovation, and community intersect. At the heart of this vision is the activation of a network of spaces—including its soaring 26th floor and vaulted lobby—into environments that support creative expression, thought leadership, and experiential programming.

With initiatives like the Woolworth Design & Innovation Hub, a new content and event studio for creators, brands, and technologists, the building is becoming a launchpad for collaboration and cultural relevance. Layered with plans for curated amenities, artistic installations, and flexible workspaces, the Woolworth is reclaiming its place as not only a historic beacon, but a living, breathing destination for New York’s next generation of thinkers, makers, and doers.

About OHNY Weekend

Open House New York Weekend is a five-borough festival that helps people understand why the city looks, feels, and functions the way it does. Attended by more than 50,000 people—including New Yorkers from 83% of the city’s zip codes—the festival is a celebration of design, culture, and civic investment.
