As the structural engineer of record, TY Lin-Silman worked with Two Trees and the rest of the project team to realize PAU’s vision for a new building within the historic masonry shell of the Domino Sugar Refinery. Come see behind the scenes of this one-of-a-kind project. Silman Principal Pat Arnett will discuss the evolution of the site from state-of-the-art factory to industrial relic to modern commercial facility. You will explore some of the unique moments and locations where you can see the interplay between the old and new and highlight the structural engineering strategies required to make it all work.
