Poster House is the first and only museum in the United States dedicated to presenting the impact, culture, and design of posters, both as historical documents and methods of contemporary visual communication. Its exhibitions and permanent collection provide a unique perspective on the intersection of art and commerce, design and communication, and control of the public domain. Opened in 2019, Poster House has been an OHNY Weekend Partner since 2020, showcasing its interior design by LTL Architects intended to evoke the intended viewing space for most posters: a city sidewalk. Admission to the museum on this day (and every Friday) is free. Exhibitions currently on view include: Just Frame It: How Nike Turned Sports Stars into Superheroes, Fantastical Streets: The Theatrical Posters of Boris Bućan, and Lester Beall & A New American Identity.
