Lehman College’s new Nursing Education Research and Practice Center opened in February 2024 and has a full floor of simulation labs and a rooftop photovoltaic array. Tours will be led by designers from Urbahn Architects.
Join designers from Urbahn Architects for tours of the newest addition to Lehman College’s compact urban campus. The brand-new Nursing Education Research and Practice Center (NERPC), opened in February 2024, features a full floor of simulation labs and a rooftop photovoltaic array. The three-story, 52,000 sq ft facility provides much needed space for the fast-growing nursing sector—a vital addition to the city, given that around half of the new nurses that graduate each year in New York City come from the CUNY system.
Tucked smartly between two campus buildings designed, respectively in the Brutalist and Collegiate Gothic styles, the NERPC creates a seamless architectural link while simultaneously engaging the tree-lined Campus Mall, the largest green open space on Lehman’s campus.
