Step inside one of New York City’s last remaining Gilded Age treasures. Completed in 1875, the 1,800-seat sanctuary features original woodwork throughout, resplendent windows from the Aesthetic Movement, and a grand, 7,000-pipe Austin organ. Learn the history of this landmark congregation, and enjoy up-close views of the art and architecture of both the sanctuary and the smaller Kirkland Chapel. Virtual tours of each space are also [available](http://www.fapc.org). At 12:15pm and 2:30pm on Saturday, a program, “Three Churches, One Mission” will be offered. In 2017, three historic Fifth Avenue congregations – St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Saint Thomas Episcopal, and Fifth Avenue Presbyterian – created a new ministry. The Ecumenical Outreach Partnership today supports the Midtown homeless community. Visitors will hear about the history and mission of this unique partnership. They will learn how our houses of worship come together to feed, minister to, and dignify our most vulnerable neighbors. This is a story that will warm the hearts of all who hear it and show the caring spirit of New York City in our modern age.
