Recently renovated by STUDIOS Architecture, this tour provides a unique opportunity to explore a building with a rich history. Originally an iconic Simpson and Crawford department store from the 1870s, the structure was later converted into a commercial office space before being transformed by the STUDIOS team to reflect the evolving urban landscape of 6th Avenue. Located in the historic Ladies Mile District, the building steeped in a century of stories, is now a tapestry of past and present.  On this tour, STUDIOS Architecture Principal Graham Clegg will lead the group from the historic facade into the newly redesigned lobby. Incorporating a warmer and inviting palette, the lobby pays homage to the building’s history with fluted wooden walls that echo the original fluted columns of the old storefront. The design eloquently bridges eras, forging a connection between heritage and modernity. We will move up the historic building to the rooftop, where a once vacant space on the terrace has been reimagined into a hospitality infused outdoor space, offering idyllic views of Manhattan.
